Brexit and small orders

We will only take orders from UK-based non-business customers from €160,- or higher (roughly £134,-) due to extra Brexit administration. For smaller orders please check Technobotsonline in the UK. They sell a wide range of our products MakerBeam, MakerBeamXL and OpenBeam.

At the start of the year it was unclear what impact Brexit would have on our business. We tried to inform ourselves though a number of outlets but information was often contradictory. We decided to go with the flow, ship as normal and see what would happen. What happened was that delivery was delayed and customers needed to pay extra fees.

Now in March things get a little clearer. Orders from non-business customers that are under €160,- or (roughly £134,-) will need extra Brexit administration. Since we have a great outlet with Technobotsonline we decided we will stop taking orders under this amount. Customers with a registered UK VAT-number are exempt from this. They are to account for VAT to HMRC themselves.

Technobotsonline sells a wide range of our products: MakerBeam, MakerBeamXL and OpenBeam. Technobotsonline is based in Warwickshire, England. The company was established in 2001 supplying parts to combat robot builders (hence the origins of the name). It has continued to grow into an international supplier of electronic and mechanical components to the hobbyist, education and trade sectors with over 6,000 products. Technobots can provide many hard to find, as well as commonly available, parts for electrical, electronic and mechanical based projects.
