Les Karibous are competition Legends

Les Karibous, supported by MakerBeam, earned the title of Legends Vice-Champions at the 2025 French Robotics Cup. Known for their strong outreach and educational content (French language), they were praised by other teams for their inspiring presence. This year also saw the debut of the Karibelles, a mother-daughter team that reflected Les Karibous’ mission of making robotics inclusive and accessible.

It has been nearly two months since the 2025 French Robotics Cup wrapped up in early June. Time flies, but catching up on some good news during the summer is always a pleasure, and the achievements of Les Karibous are well worth celebrating.

Les Karibous placed 14th overall and also earned the title of Legends Vice Champions. The 2nd place in the Legends League is a fantastic follow-up to their 2nd place finish in Belgium just weeks earlier. The Legends League is all about inspiring young people and Les karibous truly excel in that mission. Several teams stopped by during the event to share how much they appreciated the team’s livestreams and online content throughout the season.

Their aim to inspire people to discover robotics also came across in the debut of the Karibelles, a team made up of a mother and her 8-year-old daughter. Together they built a simple yet effective robto and proudly took part in the competition. Their participation beautifully reflects the values Les Karibous stand for: opening up robotics to everyone, starting from a young age, in a supportive and inclusive way.

We at MakerBeam are very pleased to support such an inspiring team – and we cannot wait to see what they do next.
